These camps not only contribute to saving lives but also raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation. Additionally, Janakanksha takes proactive measures in addressing the pressing issue of substance abuse through drug de-addiction camps. By offering support, counseling, and rehabilitation services, the NGO helps individuals break free from the grip of addiction and embark on a path towards recovery and holistic well-being. Through these efforts, Janakanksha not only addresses immediate health concerns but also fosters a culture of wellness and community support, ultimately contributing to the overall betterment of society’s health and wellness landscape.

Blood Donation Camps in Ramgarh

In the multipurpose auditorium of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Teacher Training College, located in Sukrigarh, Lari, Ramgarh, a one-day blood donation camp was organized on Friday, 15.09.2022, under the auspices of S. N. S. The program commenced with the offering of flowers and lighting the lamp on the portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan, followed by a warm welcome extended to the guests with bouquets, corsages, and saplings. Dr. Jitendra Kumar Gupta, a surgeon from Ramgarh Sadar, graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside Blood Bank In-charge Dr. Renu Kumari, and College Management Committee Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Prabhakar. The program began with Vivekananda Verma, President of Smiles NGO, enlightening the teachers and trainees about diseases, healthcare, and preventive measures, particularly emphasizing blood-related information. Members from Smiles NGO, including Naveen Kumar, Shashikant Ravi, Shekhar Kumar Dangi, Ajay Kumar Chitra, Subas Kumar, and Pushpa Soren, were also in attendance. Assistant professors cum NSS program officers, including Dr. Ashok Ram, Anand, Subhanu, Priya, Dhaneshwar, Pooja, Hrithik, Akash, Vivek, Amit Hari, Umesh, Ravindra, Rukesh, Ramvilas, Bharat, and Hemant, actively participated in blood donation. The stage management was expertly handled by Assistant Professor Shri Nayan Kumar Mishra.

Drug De-addiction Campaigns in Ramgarh

Speakers at a public awareness program emphasized the detrimental effects of addiction on individuals and society, urging villagers to steer clear of it. Organized by Rajrappa Police Station, the event took place at the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Teacher Training College auditorium in Sukrogdha Lari under Chitarpur block. Rajrappa police station in-charge Harinandan Singh, college management committee secretary Sanjay Kumar Prabhakar, and principal Dr. Sunita Gupta inaugurated the program, stressing the importance of creating a drug-free society. Singh highlighted the health hazards associated with drug consumption, while Prabhakar appealed to the community to abstain from drugs.

The campaign, aimed at promoting a drug-free environment, was spearheaded by Dr. Ashok Ram, Assistant Professor of B.Ed, with Kumari Shikha delivering the vote of thanks. Assistant professors Ranju Bandana Horo, Sanju Ranjana Horo, Mohd. Parvez Akhtar, Murari Kumar Dubey, Babuchand Prasad, and other trainees actively participated in the program.

In a parallel effort to raise awareness, street plays on social issues such as child marriage, child labor, and human trafficking were organized in various villages of Dulmi block under the auspices of Jan Vikas Kendra Hazaribagh. Villagers were engaged through compelling dramas performed by artists Amjad, Dand Pooja Kumari, contributing to a wider outreach and impactful messaging.
