Sarhul celebration at SRKTTC

In a vibrant celebration of tradition and environmental consciousness, the Sarhul festival was joyously observed by Janakanksha at SRKTTC College on April 10, 2024. Among the myriad festivities, a special initiative took root as Manish Kumar, a dedicated member of the Janakanksha society, spearheaded a thoughtful gesture towards sustainability.

Manish Kumar, embodying the spirit of Sarhul, presented a green gift to both the college’s esteemed teachers and enthusiastic students – plants for plantation. This eco-friendly endeavor not only symbolized reverence for nature but also pledged a commitment towards fostering a greener tomorrow.

The participation of the esteemed faculty members further amplified the significance of the occasion. Dr. Shiv Kumar Rana, Ranju Vandana Horo, Nayan Kumar Mishra, Dr. Ashok Ram, Sanju Vandana Horo, Rajesh Mahto, Babu Chand, and Supriya Burman all embraced the initiative wholeheartedly, setting an inspiring example for the student community.

Amidst the rhythmic beats of tribal drums and colorful rituals, the act of planting trees stood as a testament to the harmony between cultural heritage and environmental stewardship. Each sapling symbolized a promise – a promise to nurture, to protect, and to sustain the delicate balance of the ecosystem.

As the Sarhul festival resonated with songs of gratitude to the earth and prayers for prosperity, the plantation drive added a contemporary yet deeply meaningful layer to the celebrations. It underscored the importance of honoring tradition while adapting to modern challenges, weaving a tapestry of cultural richness and environmental responsibility.

In the wake of this joyous occasion, the verdant legacy planted by Manish Kumar and supported by the dedicated faculty members and enthusiastic students will continue to flourish, embodying the timeless essence of Sarhul – a celebration of life, nature, and community.
